WEST COAST IPA
7.0%
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, malted oats, hops, yeast.
Description: It’s been a while since our last West Coast IPA and we wanted to explore the limits of this evolving style. With this in mind, we named our newest West Coast “Fraser,” after Simon Fraser, a Montrealer who was among the first Anglo-Americans to explore British Columbia in the early 19th century.
As the Fraser, we’re crossing into the unknown to see what the West Coast has to offer. We’ve combined Idaho 7 and Simcoe hops from the Pacific Northwest in the United States with Cascade Quebecois hops from Houblon Bastien (RIP) and Quebecois malts from Innomalt. It has classic West Coast notes, with resinous and citrus accents, but there’s also a juicy side that comes through, with subtle notes of tangerine and apricot. So it is a good hybrid of both coasts, but with one foot definitely anchored in the Pacific.
